About WikiShoes
WikiShoes lists shoes sold at the store: boots for work and weather, loafers and oxfords for the office, sandals, slippers, clogs and flats for men and women. Each pair is shown with what its seller states and a price with the time we read it.
What a title gives us
The kind of shoe, who it is cut for, the width, whether it is waterproof and whether the upper is leather are taken from the seller's own title. When a title is silent, the cell stays empty here, and we do not borrow it from another size or a similar model. A size is the seller's label and is never turned into fit advice.
We have not walked in any of them
No pair listed here has been worn through a day, caught in the rain or resoled. So there is no verdict on comfort, no claim that a shoe lasts and no ranking by how it feels after a long shift. Fit and wear are matters for a size chart, owners' reviews and a fitting.
A price and the minute it was read
Each amount was read from the store and is printed with its time. A reading that has aged out is deleted, since an old amount posing as today's price misleads more than no amount at all. The store's page decides today's price.
What pays for the site
WikiShoes earns through the Amazon Associates program: a purchase that begins at one of our links makes Amazon send us a small commission, and the price at the till is not touched. Shoes are arranged by your filters and by price, never by a seller's payment.
The guides compare shoes on stated details and price alone. The Learn pages explain words such as welted soles, safety toes and width letters with the help of foot-health and bone-and-joint societies, and the front page tells you the number of shoes covered.
